Tomosynthetic image reconstruction method and diagnostic device employing said method

The method involves reconstructing a tomosynthetic three dimensional (3D)-Xray of an examination object (4) through discrete filtered rear projection, using digital projection data. The data is received with different projection angles in a limited angular region. A recursive filtering process is executed with a convolution kernel, corresponding to an exponential function of a central value. The kernel is limited to a finite length. An independent claim is also included for a device for generating a tomosynthetic 3D-Xray image, comprising a digital X-ray detector.
