PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make application to a large-sized solar panel facility possible by automatically monitoring the appearance of a solar panel in an inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: A solar panel appearance monitoring device is used that comprises: a solar panel inspection parameter adjustment device 3 for constructing discriminators 14a-14c for solar panel inspection on the basis of solar panel image groups 21A-21C in which first to third solar panels are previously photographed in the absence of foreign matter for a fixed period by a monitoring camera 12 and foreign matter image groups 22A, 22B in which foreign matter is photographed for a fixed period by the monitoring camera 12; and solar panel inspection devices 4a-4c for inputting the images 11a-11c in which the first to third solar panels are photographed by the monitoring camera 12 during monitoring time to the discriminators 14a-14c, and determining whether or not foreign matter exists on the first to third solar panels on the basis of the inspection results of the discriminators 14a-14c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
