PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device, an information reproducing method, a program, and a recording medium which can reproduce simultaneously sound information and video information to be reduced in the interruption of sound and the disconinuity of video. SOLUTION: The information reproducing device is equipped with a first information storage means 4 for storing information, a second information storage means 5 for storing the information, an information storage selection means 3 for selecting whether the first information storage means 4 stores the information or the second information storage means 5 stores the information, a sound information storage means 8 for storing information regarding outputted sound, a video information storage means 7 for storing information regarding outputted video, an information storage quantity detection means 11 for detecting quantity of information stored by the first information storage means 4, quantity of information stored by the second information storage means 5, quantity of information stored by the sound information storage means 8 and quantity of information stored by the video information storage means 7 and a system control means 12 for controlling a reproduction processing means 2, the first information storage means 4, the second information storage means 5 and the information storage selection means 3 based on a detection result.
