PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting vessel installed in a high frequency melting apparatus capable of decreasing a possibility of external flow of a molten metal.SOLUTION: A melting vessel 10 is installed inside a high frequency melting apparatus 2, and made hot by induction heating so that loaded radioactive waste is melted. The melting vessel 10 comprises: a crucible 4 into which radioactive waste is loaded; an outer cylinder 6 that houses the crucible 4; and a heat insulator 8 that fills a gap between the crucible 4 and the outer cylinder 6. The crucible 4 is a vessel made of a ceramic including carbon, to which an impregnation process is performed. The outer cylinder 6 is a metal vessel. |
