<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus that protects a heat generating section of a thermal head when a lid body is opened. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 1 is configured by integrating a storing section 4 for storing thermo-sensitive paper 60 with the thermal head 10 for recording information on the thermo-sensitive paper 60 with heat generated by the heat generating section 12. The printing apparatus 1 further includes the lid body 20 which is held so as to be displaceable between a close position where the lid body 20 closes the storing section 4 and an open position where the lid body 20 opens the storing section 4. A discharging brush 23 for discharging the electrostatic charges is fixed on the outer surface 20a of the lid body 20. When the lid body 20 is located in the close position, the discharging brush 23 is separated from the heat generating section 12, when the lid body 20 is located at the open position, the discharging brush 12 comes in contact with the heat generating section 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
