PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for imparting a function to a polyester fiber fabric while maintaining a fastness to rubbing which has a level required for a vehicle interior material. SOLUTION: The method for treating a polyester fiber fabric includes a process of treating a polyester fiber fabric by applying a treatment solution containing water and a treatment agent dissolved or dispersed therein to a dyed polyester fiber fabric and drying the treatment solution applied to the polyester fiber fabric, and the treatment agent uses a polyurethane resin, at least one kind of a crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of a polyisocyanate compound, a polycarbodiimide compound, and an oxazoline compound, and a functional material for imparting a fixed function to the polyester fiber fabric.
