PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the pointing operation of an object displayed by projection.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display unit that projects and displays a pointer to operate a plurality of applications on a display object; a calculation unit that calculates a first distance to the display object on which the pointer is projected; an extraction unit that extracts a region where a plurality of objects corresponding to the plurality of applications operated by the pointer are displayed on the display object on the basis of the first distance; and a determination unit that determines a position where the plurality of objects are not overlapped within the region on the basis of relative positions of the plurality of objects and the pointer.
