According to an embodiment of the present invention, an information processing device is provided with hardware, a control unit, a detection unit, a disconnection unit, a diagnosis unit, and a processing unit. The control unit is communicably connected to the hardware, and executes start-up processing of starting up in accordance with an inputted first reset signal, and first processing of detecting an abnormality of the hardware, and recording, in a first storage unit, results of the hardware abnormality detection. The detection unit executes processing of detecting an abnormality of the control unit, and in the case where an abnormality of the control unit is detected, the detection unit makes the control unit execute the first processing. The disconnection unit disconnects the connection between the hardware and the control unit in the case where an abnormality of the control unit is detected, and the first processing is not executed by the control unit. The diagnosis unit executes second processing of detecting an abnormality of the hardware in the case where the connection between the hardware and the control unit is disconnected. The processing unit executes third processing of recording second processing results in a second storage unit. |
