<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell with a simple structure capable of preventing thermal deterioration of a seal member. <P>SOLUTION: A single battery cell 1 includes: a membrane-electrode assembly 2 including a polymer electrolyte membrane 2b, an anode catalyst layer 3a, a cathode catalyst layer 3c, an anode side gas diffusion layer 5a, and a cathode side gas diffusion layer 5c; an anode side separator 4a and a cathode side separator 4c disposed at the both sides of the membrane-electrode assembly 2, each of which is formed with flow channel grooves for reaction gas on the main surface in contact with the gas diffusion layers 5a and 5c; cooling fluid paths 11a and 11c formed on the other main surfaces of the separators for allowing a cooling fluid to flow; and an anode side cooling fluid gasket 7a and a cathode side cooling fluid gasket 7c disposed enclosing the cooling fluid paths 11a and 11c to prevent the cooling fluid from leaking to the outside. Viewing from a thickness direction of the polymer electrolyte membrane 2b, the outer periphery of a region formed with the cooling fluid paths 11a and 11c is positioned at the outer side than the outer periphery of the anode catalyst layer 3a and the cathode catalyst layer 3c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
