摘要 Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a base station and a beam forming method. The method includes: determining, according to uplink sounding signals separately received using m beams, an uplink receive power of each beam in the m beams, where m is a positive integer greater than 2; selecting n beams from the m beams according to the uplink receive power of each beam in the m beams, where 2≦n<m, and n is a positive integer; determining a beamforming BF weighted value according to uplink sounding signals separately received using the n beams; and weighting the n beams using the beamforming (BF) weighted value, so as to form optimized beams used for data transmission. According to some embodiments of the present invention, a BF technology can be effectively implemented in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system.
