The method involves forming an initial stamping plate matched with shape of upper and lower surfaces of a metal insert to be produced (1), and producing a core (5) having shape of an internal cavity of the insert to be produced. The core and the stamping plate are joined by welding to form an assembly, and the internal cavity is evacuated. The assembly is assembled by hot isostatic pressing, and an outer profile of the insert is constructed by a final machining that is performed before separation of the core of the insert. An independent claim is also included for a core.
