CIRCUIT BREAKER USING ARC CONTACT WITH RESISTORS

A circuit breaker using an arc contact with a resistor is provided to prevent damage of an insulating gas between the arc contacts by reducing arc energy, thereby preventing deterioration of insulating performance. A cylinder(600) is filled with an arc extinguishing gas inside. A main fixed contact(620) is formed inside the cylinder. A main movable contact(630) forms a first current path by being connected to the main fixed contact and is separated from the main fixed contact to interrupt a fault current. A fixed arc contact(640) is formed inside the cylinder and includes a resistor(646) inserted between a body(642) and a tip(644) to reduce the fault current. A movable arc contact(650) forms a second current path by being connected to the fixed arc contact and is separated from the fixed arc contact after being in contact with the resistor of the fixed arc contact to reduce the fault current.
