<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent easily conveyed in an artery, having practically the same entire length before and after expansion and preventing the damage of cells caused by twisting. SOLUTION: In a stent 1 provided with a plurality of long member rows formed by arranging the rows of annularly arranged long members parallel along a longitudinal axis, each row has first and second long members arranged on an imaginary cylindrical surface and inclined onto the same side as an imaginary line parallel with the longitudinal axis, and connecting parts for connecting the ends of the first and second long members to each other so that the first and second long members are continuous through the connecting parts. The stent 1 is further provided with a plurality of connector rows of annularly arranged connectors 5 and 5 arranged between the adjacent long member rows to connect them. Each connector 5 is provided with a vertical part right-angled to the imaginary line, and upper and lower end parts extended in laterally opposite directions from both ends of the vertical part. The upper and lower end parts are connected to the connecting parts of the adjacent long member rows. The connectors 5 and 5 impart flexibility in the direction of the longitudinal axis and reduce the movement of the stent 1 at the time of expansion.</p> |
