摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a panel having a large pixel holding capacity and a high numerical aperture by arranging a black matrix on the side of an active matrix substrate, and reducing crosstalk caused by a source line potential. SOLUTION: A light-shielding film is arranged between a pixel layer and a source line layer on an active matrix board via interlayer insulating films on an active matrix substrate so that the pixel electrodes and the light-shielding film overlap, the source line and the light-shielding film overlap, and the pixel electrodes and the source line do not overlap. Thus, since a black matrix as well as a matrix array are formed on a front side of a transparent substrate, alignment of the black matrix and a boundary area between pixel areas is possible with high accuracy, and further, since it is unnecessary to provide the black matrix with a margin, the numerical aperture rate can be improved.
