<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a watertight resin composition improved in adhesion and excellent in adhesion at high temperatures, and to provide a watertight insulated cable free of peeling, yet easily peelable during the cable installation process and not drooping at high temperatures near 100°C. <P>SOLUTION: The watertight resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of at least one copolymer selected from the group consisting of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymers, 1-50 pts.wt. of a water absorbing and swelling polymer, and 5-50 pts.wt. of a silane crosslinked polyethylene.
