SINGLE-CORE BIDIRECTIONAL OPTICAL TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION TRANSCEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-core bidirectional optical transmission and reception transceiver with the mounting cost is reduced and control characteristics at high frequency is superior.

SOLUTION: In the single-core bidirectional optical transmission and reception transceiver, a plurality of pins 7 electrically connected to an LD 4, an MPD 13, a PD 5 and a preamplifier 14 are provided on one face of a case 3 of an optical module 1; an interface 9 electrically connected to an LD driver 10 and a host amplifier 11 is provided on a circuit substrate 8 corresponding to the plurality of pins 7; and an optical transmission and reception module 1 is mounted on the circuit substrate 8, by connecting the plurality of pins 7 to the interface 9.
