<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of quantifying a measure of the quality of a document. <P>SOLUTION: This method consists of; measuring the properties of a predetermined group of documents; quantifying the measured properties of a predetermined group of the documents; and generating a quantified aesthetic value to the documents on the basis of a predetermined combined function.
