PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Stirling refrigerating machine not having to go through procedures of breaking and reforming of heat insulating material, when carrying out projection and withdrawal of a low temperature head from the heat insulating material. SOLUTION: The Stirling refrigerating machine 110 is provided with a high temperature head 111 and the low temperature head 112, a high temperature side circulation circuit 120 for deriving heat is connected to the high temperature head 111, and a low temperature side circulation circuit 130 for deriving cold is connected to the low temperature head 112. The heat insulating material 150 surrounding the low temperature head 112 has a collapsible structure provided with a ring like part 151 and a lid like part 152, and the low temperature head 112 can be projected from the heat insulating material 150 by separating the ring like part 151 and the lid like part 152. The ring like part 151 and the lid like part 152 can be reassembled. The ring like part 151 and the lid like part 152 are sealed together by a viscous filler 156. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
