PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transfer amount of media including booklets constant. SOLUTION: A thickness of a medium including booklets when transferred is recognized by a medium thickness recognition means (S2, S4, S7, S8 and S10). An angle of rotation of a transfer motor when transferring the medium to a setting part is controlled by a medium transfer amount correction means (S3, S5, S9, S11 and S12) based on the recognition result, so that a transfer amount of the medium to the setting part is corrected. The transfer amount of the medium to the printing part can be corrected in accordance with the thickness of the medium including books when transferred, and therefore a transfer position of the medium including booklets can be correctly set and data can be set to a correct printing position.
