<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle radar system adaptable to a target existing in a reflected wave receivable region, even if the target lies outside the angle determinable range. <P>SOLUTION: An electric wave is transmitted and the electric wave reflected by a target is received, and then the distance, the relative velocity and the azimuth angle of the target is computed according to the obtained target signal. Since the azimuth angle of the target can be computed in a prescribed angle determinable range, it is determined whether the target is in the angle determinable range based on the target signal. When it is determined that the target is in the angle determinable range, it is determined whether there is a risk that the target will collide with an own vehicle on the basis of the distance, the relative velocity and the azimuth angle of the target. When it is determined that the target is out of the angle determinable range, it is determined whether there is a risk that the target will collide with own vehicle, on the basis of the distance and the relative velocity of the target. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
