SHUTTLE CONTROL METHOD OF PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the print speed from falling more than required while preventing heat generation of a shuttle motor during multiple line feed in a linear motor shuttle mechanism equipped with an urging means at the time of hammer bank inversion. SOLUTION: A specified value of shuttle restart current at the time of multiple line feed operation is provided, and that the specified value is set at such a value as the thrust falls and the print speed begins to fall. When the inversion coil conduction amount at the time of shuttle restart exceeds the specified value, multiple line feed synchronization operation where the shuttle retreat time is longer than a specified line feed amount is performed. When the inversion coil conduction amount at the time of shuttle restart becomes under the specified value, multiple line feed synchronization operation where the retreat time is adapted to the specified line feed amount is returned.
