PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist collecting device for a machine tool capable of eliminating the hazing phenomenon resulting from the minute oil mist generated in a processing chamber by collecting the mist and performing also the cleaning and drying of each work to be processed. SOLUTION: The mist collecting device includes a suction pipe 22 connected with a processing chamber 15 of the machine tool, with which 22 three members are connected one after another, i.e. a first collecting means 30 fitted with a coarse filter member 36, a second collecting means 45 having a case 46 fitted therein with a demister member 55 embodied in a multi-layer structure by interposing a mesh-form reinforcing plate 57 between a piece of electric stone non-woven cloth 56 and a piece of electric stone non-woven cloth 56, and a common suction hole 66 at which the suction holes of a two-chamber Roots type blower 65 are put together in one. The discharge port of one chamber V of the blower is connected with the processing chamber while the discharge port of the other chamber P is connected with a nozzle 76 of an air blowing means 75, whereby two processes are applied as collecting the minute oil mist generated in the processing chamber 15 and air blowing to the work to be processed.
