Provided are a filler for a filter vent, said filler being capable of more efficiently adsorbing radioactive iodine than conventional products and coping with severe accidents, and a filter vent device. The filler for a filter vent comprises granulated L-type zeolite, wherein: ion exchange sites in the L-type zeolite are at least partly substituted by silver; in the ion exchange sites, the composition ratio (a/b) of the silver-substituted ion exchange sites (a) to the ion exchange sites not substituted by silver (b) is set to 25/75-55/45; and the silver content is set to 7-12 wt% under dry conditions. |
