<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily create a hologram for reproducing a three-dimensional image, without being limited by the size of the three-dimensional image to be reproduced, the hologram size or reference light during reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus is provided for creating holograms to reproduce a three-dimensional image, by recording interference fringes in a recording medium where information is recorded by the use of holography so as to generate reproduced light, corresponding to a desired three-dimensional image, when the medium is irradiated with reference light for reproduction. The apparatus is equipped with a head for irradiating a part of the recording medium with a plurality of recording beams that form a part of the interference fringes so as to record a part of the interference fringes, and with a position-varying means for varying the relative positional relation between the head and the recording medium, wherein the recording medium can record interference fringes as refractive index modulation by a method of (1) polymerization reaction, (2) color development reaction, (3) latent image color development/chromogen self-sensitization, amplification and color development reaction, or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
