<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition with slight color blurs and density unevenness to paper and excellent in printing density. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the ink composition comprising a colorant, a solvent and a polymer compound, wherein the average density N of a dissociating groups in a surface charge layer of the colorant is ≥0.005 M and the parameter 1/λ indicating mobility of the surface charge layer is 0.5 to 5.00 nm in a solution dispersing the ink composition in an aqueous solution of an electrolyte in a pH range of 5-8, and the content of the polymer compound not including the colorant to the colorant and the polymer compound including the colorant, is ≤0.1% by mass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
