PURPOSE: The opening and closing device of a floodgate is provided to prevent the water pollution due to the purifying effect of water, to easily secure the water reservation by preventing the water flowing into the slit of a floodgate. CONSTITUTION: The opening and closing device of a floodgate is composed of: a floodgate(24) for selectively intercepting the water flow between a assistant bank while selective rotating, hinge-fixed to a rotary axle at the upper part of facing face of the assistant bane neighboring one another; an opening and closing controller for rotating the floodgate by slide-moving a weight installed inside of the floodgate to the up/down sides of the rotary axle; a peach member(28) for improving the adhesiveness of the floodgate at the inclination of the projection corresponding to the rim part of the floodgate.
