FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: installation for bend testing materials has a frame on which are mounted two nonparallel rails lying in parallel planes, two actuators for reciprocating motion linked to the respective rails, two pairs of pairwise coaxial two sample gripping devices fitted on respective rails, and a loading apparatus linked to one pair of gripping devices. One of each pair of gripping devices if fitted with possibility of rotating about the axis of the pair and is linked to the actuator for reciprocal motion, and the second pair of gripping devices does not rotate. ^ EFFECT: increased information content owing to possibility of testing with movement of the contact point on the length of interacting samples when loading the samples with sign-variable torsion loads. ^ 1 dwg |
