PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can prevent a document from being output when a user can not cancel printing by operating an operation panel.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a print data storage means 26 which stores print data; a print instruction receiving means 11 which receives an instruction to print the print data from user operation; a job execution control means 32 which registers the print data print instruction received by the print instruction receiving means as a print job and controls execution of the print job; an image converting means 31 which interprets the print data and converts it into image data; an image printing means 13 which prints the image data on a sheet material; and a determination means 37 which determines whether the print instruction receiving means is in a normal state or not. When the determination means determines that the print instruction receiving means is not normal, the job execution control means interrupts the execution of the print job.
