<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise efficiency in operations for making print jobs by editing print layouts. <P>SOLUTION: In a template mode, the apportionment of an image is usually carried out by setting a respective template for each individual page. A group is closed with respect to each page. A package deals with a plurality of templates as a single pack (multiple pages), and the groups in a package are deemed as all the same group, so that the same image is assigned thereto. A list (dropdown list) of the names of templates corresponding to print media sizes specified at a media/printer selection box 146 is displayed on the screen during a packaging process. This template information (dropdown list) is obtained from a print server machine by a layout editor. Upon selecting any one of desired template names from the list, the description of the template name is displayed below the list, and the selected template is displayed in a layout display box. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
