Micropscope system and method for synthesiing microscopic images

An obtainment unit (2) obtains microscopic images in a time series obtained by picking up images of a specimen (19) as a motion image and also obtains microscope information that is information correlated with each of the microscopic images and the information that indicates an observation state of the microscope (1) when the microscopic image has been picked up. An image synthesis unit (2) synthesizes individual microscopic images constituting the motion image based on position information which is included in the microscope information and which indicate positions of the specimen (19) when the microscopic image has been picked up, thereby synthesizing a wider view image than the microscopic image.
