PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of a thickness of a refrigerant communication pipe in an air conditioning system switching indoor cooling and heating by utilizing a refrigerating cycle performed in a state of compressing a refrigerant to be higher than a critical pressure. SOLUTION: This air conditioning system 1 comprises a compressor 21, a first heat source-side heat exchanger 22 for heating or cooling the refrigerant, a second heat source-side heat exchanger 23 for exchanging heat between the refrigerant and a heat carrying medium, a first use-side heat exchanger 41 performing indoor cooling by the refrigerant cooled by the first heat source-side heat exchanger 22, a second use-side heat exchanger 51 performing indoor heating by the heat carrying medium exchanging heat in the second heat source-side heat exchanger 23, and a connecting mechanism 24. The connecting mechanism 24 can switch a first connecting state for circulating the refrigerant successively in the compressor 21, the first heat source-side heat exchanger 22, the first use-side heat exchanger 41 and the compressor 21, and a second connecting state for circulating the refrigerant successively in the compressor 21, the second heat source-side heat exchanger 23, the first heat source-side heat exchanger 22 and the compressor 21.
