<p>A finned tube made according to this invention has a plurality of spaced-apart internal fins extending radial inward from the inner wall surface of the longitudinally extending tube. Bach internal fin runs the length of the tube and forms an interior passageway that provides far greater surface area for heat transfer than the inner wall surface of the tube does absent the internal fins. External fins may be arranged about the outer wall of the tube. The internal fins are twined integral to the tube by extruding the tube and internal fin structure.</p> |
