PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method for accurately analyzing the state of deformation etc. of viscoelastic materials. SOLUTION: The simulation method includes a step for setting a viscoelastic material model, in which a viscoelastic material is divided by element; a step for computing deformations by setting conditions to the viscoelastic material model; and a step for acquiring required physical quantities, on the basis of the deformation computations. A first energy loss property for generating a first energy loss, based on the amount of strain and a second energy loss property for generating a second energy loss, based on the rate of strain are defined in a first cycle of deformation, comprising loading deformation and unloading deformation in the viscoelastic material model. The deformation computations for a second cycle include a process for generating the first and second energy losses in the first cycle and a process for generating only the second energy loss, when the strain does not exceed the maximum strain of the first cycle in the second cycle.
