A holding arrangement (430, 430a, 430b, 430c) acts on one or more of the: friction clutch, clutch assembly, operating unit and actuator unit. This acts against return forces in the clutch assembly, independently of any operational forces produced by the actuator arrangement (402, 404). It holds the clutch in an engaged state.
