PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, a base station, a terminal and a communication method, capable of improving throughput by using a communication scheme appropriate for a low-power base station.SOLUTION: The communication system includes a first base station, at least one second base station having smaller transmission power than the first base station and at least one terminal. All or a part of area of a cell which is a connectable range of the second base station is located to overlay with a cell of the first base station. When the first base station communicates with the terminal using frequency division duplex (FDD), if the first base station notifies the terminal of a connection instruction to the second base station, the second base station communicates with the terminal using time division duplex (TDD). |
