PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a thermal transfer material and to make it easy to construct a recorder as a whole in a compact form, by continuously carrying out a step of thermally perforating a thermoplastic resin film and a step of transferring an ink to a recording medium through a thermally perforated part of the film. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin film 1 is supplied with heat in a dot pattern from a heating means 4 at a thermal perforating position at which it is opposed to the heating means 4, whereby it is perforated in the dot pattern. At an ink-transferring position, an ink 6 which is fluid at normal temperature is supplied from an ink-supplying means 7 to the thermally perforated resin film 1. A recording medium 8 consisting of an ordinary paper or the like is laid on the film 1, whereby the ink 6 permitted to pass through a perforated part 1a of the film 1 is transferred onto the recording medium 8, forming a recorded image 10. |
