PRODUCTION METHODS FOR SOLUBILIZED LIGNIN, SACCHARIDE RAW MATERIAL AND MONOSACCHARIDE RAW MATERIAL, AND SOLUBILIZED LIGNIN

Disclosed are: a novel lignin degradation product; a method for producing the lignin degradation product; a method for producing a saccharide raw material; and a method for producing a monosaccharide raw material. A lignocellulose raw material is pulverized, and the resulting product is defatted with an organic solvent, thereby producing a powder; aqueous hydrogen peroxide is added to the powder in an amount of 20 to 400 parts by mass in terms of hydrogen peroxide content relative to 100 parts by mass of the powder; and the mixture is heated for 5 to 120 minutes at a pressure of 0.1 to 1.5 MPa and a temperature of 80 to 200°C while irradiating the mixture with a microwave (the first step). An insoluble matter is separated from aqueous hydrogen peroxide (the second step). The insoluble matter is extracted with a solvent, thereby producing an extract (the third step). The solvent is distilled away from the extract, thereby yielding a solubilized lignin as a residue (the fourth step). Each of a liquid matter and an insoluble matter obtained in the first step is subjected to a predetermined treatment, thereby producing a saccharide raw material mainly composed of a polysaccharide and a monosaccharide raw material, respectively.
