PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film manufacturing method with which it is possible to suppress the occurrence of a dot fault (cissing) in a drying process.SOLUTION: The optical film manufacturing method has a coating process for applying a coating of at least a first coating liquid and a second coating liquid on an optical film base in multiple layers at the same time, and a drying process for drying the coated film, the viscosity of the first coating liquid being larger than the viscosity of the second coating liquid. In the drying process, the wet-bulb temperature of the surface of the coated film is set to 10°C or below until the solid content concentration of a portion of the coated film constituted from the first coating liquid reaches 20 mass%, and the viscosity of the portion of the coated film constituted from the first coating liquid is thereby maintained not to fall below 2×10mPa s after it reached 2×10mPa s.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
