Provided is a method for manufacturing a semiconductor crystal having high γ-ray energy resolving power, a semiconductor radiation detector, and a radiation imaging device using the detector. A semiconductor radiation detector is manufactured in which a semiconductor crystal is composed of a bromine-enriched thallium bromide single crystal that includes 99.91-99.99 mol% of thallous bromide and 0.01-0.09 mol% of trivalent thallium (thallic bromide equivalent).
