PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce facility cost, shorten construction period, and effectively utilize space by restricting working zone and reducing isolated area for reducing the scale of facilities. SOLUTION: This work unit 1 is used for removing the asbestos of the ceiling surface 2a of a building 2 within a predetermined working area. The work unit comprises traveling rails 3, 3 installed in the building 2, a traveling carrier 4 capable of traveling on the traveling rails 3, a work table 5 installed on the traveling carrier 4 and having the working zone R isolated from the periphery by an isolation sheet 54, a security table 6 positioned adjacent to the work table 5, accessible to the working zone R, and having a security zone U for removing the asbestos pieces adhered to persons, and a dust collector 55 for depressurizing the working zone R.
