METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING SKOTOMORPHOGENIC PHENOTYPE IN PLANTS AT HIGH-DENSITY CULTIVATION TO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY OF PLANTS

PURPOSE: A method for suppressing skotomorphogenic phenotype in plants at high-density cultivation is provided, thereby significantly increasing productivity of plants when they are high-density cultured. CONSTITUTION: The method for suppressing skotomorphogenic phenotype in plants at high-density cultivation comprises transforming plants with a recombinant plasmid containing phytochrome gene PHYA using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, and expressing the phytochrome gene PHYA in the transformed plants, wherein the phytochrome gene PHYA is derived from dicotyledons or monocotyledons; and the plant is rice, barley, wheat or corn.
