The present invention relates to a fuel cell system and a method for controlling a fuel cell system. More specifically, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a technology to prevent reduction in mobility of the fuel cell system at a low temperature. According to the present invention, the method for controlling the fuel cell system comprises the following processes: a temperature gaining process for gaining a temperature of the fuel cell during an operation of the fuel cell; and an exhaust gas controlling process for restricting a flowing amount of exhaust gas introduced into a flow path consisting part which makes up at least some of the flow path for exhaust gas of the fuel cell, if the temperature of the fuel cell falls below a certain value, in comparison with the situation when the temperature of the fuel cell exceeds the certain value. |
