TRANSGENIC SILKWORMS PRODUCING YELLOW FLUORESCENT COCOONS

The present invention relates to a transgenic silkworm producing yellow fluorescent silk. More specifically, the transgenic silkworm producing yellow fluorescent silk in the present invention is manufactured by the following steps of manufacturing a recombinant expression vector including a gene construct connected to operate a marker gene controlling promoter, a marker gene, a fibroin promoter derived from silkworms, and a yellow fluorescent gene derived from aequorea victoria; and making transgenic silkworms by using the recombinant expression vector. The yellow fluorescent silk produced by the transgenic silkworm shows a natural thin yellow in the natural light and does not need an additional dye, so the yellow fluorescent silk is economical and eco-friendly. In addition, the yellow fluorescent silk is used as materials of high added-value fashion clothes and wallpapers compared with a conventional silk because the yellow fluorescent silk shows bright yellow in the dark when exposed to a certain wavelength.
