FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. ^ SUBSTANCE: one should perform computer-tomographic testing to detect the ratio of the length of optic nerve's orbital part to its diameter in the point being at the distance of about 10 mm against ocular posterior pole. At value of this ratio being above 7.29 one should diagnose optic neuropathy.
