<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a multilayer electronic device using a single screen printing mask. <P>SOLUTION: A multilayer electronic device is constructed by arranging a common mask in alternating positions among alternating layers of supporting material so that a complimentary electrode structure is produced in the alternating layers by laminating a plurality of layers. By changing the supporting material, different devices such as a capacitor, a resistor, a varistor, and the like can be manufactured. The multilayer electronic device includes a plurality of adjacent printed complimentary electrode layers having an upper surface, a bottom surface, a front end surface, and a back end surface. Lateral end parts of coupled first and second layers are trimmed so as to expose selected conductive patterns. A termination material is added to the trimmed lateral end parts. A low inductance controlled equivalent series resistance multilayer capacitor includes two different pairs of electrodes, and an interdigitated side tab. The termination material can be coupled with the electrodes. Dummy tabs may be included to facilitate the formation of the termination material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
