PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power supply switching system of intermediate sections for an alternating current railroad capable of changing over electric power supply without a track circuit. SOLUTION: Between feeders 1a, 1b each connected to AC power sources 2a, 2b, intermediate sections 4a, 4b are provided which are divided in two by an air section 3c. A changeover switch a is connected between the feeder 1a and the intermediate sections 4a, and a changeover switch b is connected between the feeder 1b and the intermediate sections 4b. Further, a changeover switch c is connected between the intermediate sections 4a, 4b. A current transformer A is inserted into an electric circuit connecting a common connection point of the changeover switches a, c and the intermediate section 4a, and a current transformer B is inserted into an electric circuit connecting a common connection point of the changeover switches b, c and the intermediate section 4b. A switching control part is provided for engaging and disengaging the changeover switches a, b, c only according to the presence or absence of each output current of the current transformers A, B.
