DRIVING DEVICE AND DRIVING METHOD FOR LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device constituted efficiently recover the electric charges accumulated in parasitic capacitances of a light emitting element to reduce the electric power consumption of a light emitting display panel.

SOLUTION: The lighting of the respective light emitting elements to be lighted is successively started in correspondence to the length of the time determined according to gradation control in a constant current driving period and the light off timing of the respective light emitting elements subjected to lighting control is so controlled as to coincide with the terminal of the lighting driving period. As a result, the lighting time of the EL elements in the constant current driving period is controlled according to the gradation and the gradation expression can be realized by each of pixels. The electric charges accumulated in the parasitic capacitors of the respective EL elements can be efficiently recovered through all the drive lines right after the end of the constant current driving period regardless of the gradation control if the above gradation control method is employed.
