PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element ensuring excellent durability. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes an organic compound layer of at least single layer including a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes. At least single layer of the organic compound layer includes a compound expressed with general formula (1). In the formula, L<SP>1</SP>denotes the bivalent or higher coupling group, X<SP>1</SP>denotes nitrogen atom or substitutional or non-substitutional carbon atom, Q<SP>1</SP>indicates a group of atoms forming a hetero ring through coupling with N and X<SP>1</SP>, and n<SP>1</SP>denotes an integer of 2 or lager. Ar<SP>1</SP>is a group denoted with general formula (2). R<SP>2</SP>denotes a substitutional group and Q<SP>2</SP>denotes a group of atoms forming an aromatic ring or aromatic hetero ring.
