Provided is a substance separation membrane (in particular, gas separation membrane) obtained using a ligand compound capable of producing the MOP. Also provided is a single-hole or multi-hole coordination polymer which comprises metal ions having a valence of 2 or greater and an organic ligand represented by general formula (3), the metal ions and the organic ligand have been alternately bonded by coordinate bonding. The coordination polymer can be formed into a film without requiring the use of a polymer matrix and can have solvent solubility and moldability.
