<p>The machine has a post (6) connecting a base plate (4) and an upper arm, and a holding down feet (22, 28) for holding down the cloth. A rod includes a rod section, whose distance to a reference body (18) constantly changes during the displacement of the feet from a lifted position to a holding down position. A position sensor (17) detects the position of the feet in the holding down position. A control device (20) stays in a signal connection with the sensor and presets a position value for the machine depending on output value of the sensor.</p> |
